SAN FRANCISCO, May 30 /PR
Newswire/ -- Bridge Design announced
that it has been selected as a winner of the 2003 Medical Design
Excellence Award (MDEA) for its design work on the Deltec Cozmo™
Insulin Pump for Deltec, Inc.
The Deltec Cozmo™ insulin pump is a small, cell phone-size
device worn by a person with diabetes to deliver insulin continuously,
day and night through a small, short, flexible plastic tube
that is inserted just under the skin.
“The Cozmo design is successful because it fits so well
into users lifestyles,” said Bill Evans, president of
Bridge Design. “Our product definition research led us
to create a product that is simple to use, but has the capacity
for individualized treatment options.” Bridge Design provided
product feature definition, user interface design, and industrial
design for the Deltec Cozmo™ pump.
Winning products will receive gold or silver recognition at
a ceremony held June 3rd during the Medical Design & Manufacturing
East 2003 Conference and Exposition in New York City.
